Sealed Together Forever

One of my closest friends was sealed to her husband in the Denver, Colorado temple last week and started their happily ever after. I was so bumbed out when I couldn't be there to share her special day, but she HAD to get married in Colorado ;] I have been working on this project for a few months now (and am still working on my copy with the Salt Lake Temple) and when this all came together, the spirit overtook me! The Proclamation to the Family is such a special and sacred writing and combined with glimpses of the place where Jess and Bobby were sealed and started their family, was simply peaceful. I am so thrilled for the two of them and can't wait to see their eternal family continue to grow!

I Love to See the Temple

This is probably one of my most favorite pictures so far. I was sealed to my parents in the Salt Lake Temple when I was very little and then my husband and I were sealed together here! The day we were sealed together my heart was full of love and the spirit! Not only love for my awesome husband, but love for all the pioneers who faithfully dedicated their hard work so generations upon generations could be sealed together. I am so grateful for my parents and the incredible example they are to me! They did everything they had to to be able to be sealed to me, forever! They loved me so much to sacrifice everything so we could be an eternal family! That is why I wanted to be sealed to my husband in the same temple. It is an incredible symbol of eternal love for my family! It has always been a very special temple to me and has a remarkable history through my ancestors.
I could go on and on about this temple, but that is not the special message I wanted to share. My mother in law adored this picture, so for Mother's Day my husband chose to give this photo to her. Well, she loved it and wanted to share it with a family in her ward that was really struggling. We sent her the photo and she had it printed and framed for this particular family. When my mother in law gave the picture to the sweet wife, she began to cry! The spirit was so strong and she was incredibly touched by the spirit through this photograph. The sweet wife had a moment of peace in such a trying time. and will continue to have a small moment every time she passes the photograph. It was an incredibly touching experience and was a great testimony to me that it is the simple things in life that always mean the most.

For Time and All Eternity

This picture will always have a special place in my heart! As I was walking out the door to take temple pictures, my sister in law asked if I would take a picture of the doorknob for her, I agreed and this is what I got! The whole way to the temple I kept thinking to myself, the door. The doorknob. How in the world am I going to pull this off!? As I was pondering outside the temple and wanting to get the best picture of a doorknob, the Primary Children's Song, "I love to see the temple" popped into my head. I was overcome by the spirit and thought about the importance of the temple! Since I was 3 years old (maybe even younger) I have been singing this particular song and this picture reminded me of a simple phrase from the song, "I will go inside someday!" Primary Children are taught from a very early age the goals and blessings of the temple! and to make things even better, this was the song my 2 year old niece sang to my husband and I during our rehearsal dinner! She was so humble and full of love when she sang to us! It honestly touched everyone in the room. A few months later, I stopped by her house after going to the temple and she asked if I had just gone to church, when I replied no, I had just gone to the temple, her eyes got wide and she was so full of excitement! She continued to tell me that when she was big, she would go inside the temple! It was a such a sweet reminder of the importance of the temple and how even the smallest of children can feel the spirit that lives there and desire to go inside!
