I honestly thought I had no other talents. I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. It was then that Heavenly Father blessed me with an incredible talent. I started having an interest in photography and never grew out of it. If it wasn't for photography, I have no idea who I would be today. I am so grateful for the unexpected talent I was given to show me that there was more to life than soccer and that if I walked away from the game for my safety, Heavenly Father would bless me and light the way.
I have always been so protective of my photography until my sweet husband opened my eyes... again. I reflected back on the New Testament parable of the talents when the Lord meets with the man that was given one talent, but hid his talent away...
"Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou has that is thine... Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath." -Matthew 25:24-29
Needless to say, I was overwhelmed with the spirit. Keeping my photography to myself was selfish and against the council of our Heavenly Father. My talent was a gift with a purpose. If I buried away my talent, I will never grow and learn the things that the Lords needs me to learn. I was given this talent to better the world as much as I am capable. That is why I have finally decided to share my talents with all of you! It is a true struggle to not keep my photos to myself, but I honestly hope that these pictures will touch your lives in the multiple ways they have touched mine.
